I have long held two assumptions about poker:
1). If you want to understand strategy, study chess, but if you want to understand people, study poker.
2). Poker against amateurs is about psychology, but poker against professionals is about probability.
We have known for a while that machines can beat the best chess and go players, but, since 2017, machines can beat the best human poker players.
